A bird standing tall enough to hold a stem or two, somewhere between an ornament and a vase. It works with a single dried branch as happily as with a handful of flowers, and it looks like it belongs on the shelf even when it is empty. The walls are thick enough that it does not feel light or hollow when you pick it up.
Dried stems or a glass insert. Printed plastic is not reliably watertight, so if you want fresh flowers, drop a slim glass or a test tube inside and fill that. Simplest and it never leaks.
